UNFCCC Publishes Submissions on Developed Country Mitigation Actions

The UNFCCC has published submissions from the African Group, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, on behalf of the EU, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the US on developed country mitigation actions or commitments.

UNFCCC22 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published and addendum (FCCC/AWGLCA/2011/MISC.6/Add.5) consisting of 12 further submissions from parties on views on the items relating to a work programme for development of modalities and guidelines listed in decision 1/CP. 16 paragraph 46 (nationally appropriate mitigation commitments or actions by developed country parties).

The submissions are from: the African Group, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, on behalf of the EU, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the US. The submissions will be considered by the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) during the fourth part of its 14th session, which will be held in conjunction with the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP). The AWG-LCA will present the results of its work to the COP for consideration as per decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 143. The closing date of the session of the AWG-LCA will be determined in Durban.
