UNFCCC Publishes SB Documents on Response Measures, Support for Developing Countries’ Mitigation

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published three documents on the implementation of the impact of response measures, and on support for developing countries' mitigation actions, for consideration by countries at the upcoming Climate Change Conference to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 11-22 November 2013.

UNFCCC20 September 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published three documents on the implementation of the impact of response measures, and on support for developing countries’ mitigation actions, for consideration by countries at the upcoming Climate Change Conference to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 11-22 November 2013.

The first document contains the report on the in-forum workshop on coordination of support for the implementation of activities in relation to mitigation actions in the forest sector by developing countries, including institutional arrangements (FCCC/SB/2013/INF.6).

The last two documents are on the impact of the implementation of response measures and contain: the views of the EU and Saudi Arabia on the work programme on the impact of the implementation of response measures (FCCC/SB/2013/MISC.4); and the report and outcome of the in-forum workshop on the work programme on the impact of the implementation of response measures that was held on 4 June 2013, in Bonn, Germany (FCCC/SB/2013/INF.9).

These three documents will be considered by both the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at their 39th sessions in Warsaw.
