UNFCCC Publishes GEF Report on Technology Transfer Strategic Programme

The GEF report on the Poznan Strategic Programme includes sections on: technology transfer pilot projects; technology needs assessments; long-term implementation of the Poznan Strategic Programme; and dissemination of GEF Experience and successfully demonstrated environmentally sound technologies.

14 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/SBI/2011/14) of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) on the Implementation of the Poznan Strategic Programme on Technology Transfer.

The report includes sections on: technology transfer pilot projects; technology needs assessments; long-term implementation of the Poznan Strategic Programme; and dissemination of GEF Experience and successfully demonstrated environmentally sound technologies.

The first annex to the report contains summaries of pilot projects, while the second annex outlines long-term programme elements on technology transfer. The report will be considered by the 35th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), which will be held in Durban, South Africa, from 28 November-3 December 2011.
