UNFCCC Publishes Finland’s GHG Inventory Report
story highlights

The Expert Review Team found Finland's GHG inventory to be generally in line with the UNFCCC reporting guidelines, the revised 1996 IPCC Guidelines, the IPCC good practice guidance, and the IPCC good practice guidance for LULUCF.

22 February 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/ARR/2010/FIN) of the review of the annual inventory submission of Finland.

Finland made its annual submission on 15 April 2010, and resubmitted it on 26 May 2010. The report indicates that the Expert Review Team (ERT) found the greenhouses gas (GHG) inventory of Finland to be generally in line with the UNFCCC reporting guidelines, the revised 1996 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines, the IPCC good practice guidance, and the IPCC good practice guidance for Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF). Finland has submitted a complete set of common reporting format tables for the years 1990–2008 and the national inventory report is complete in terms of geographical coverage, years and sectors, as well as complete in terms of categories and gases. However, the ERT found that some of the categories, particularly in the agricultural sector and the waste sector are not completely reported. [Finland GHG Inventory]
