February 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the University of Eastern Finland have announced that their seventh annual Multilateral Environmental Agreement (MEA) summer course will be held from 15-27 August 2010, in Joensuu, Finland, and will focus on climate change.

The course lectures will be delivered by experienced hands-on diplomats, government officials, international civil servants and members of academia. The course is intended for experienced government officials engaged in international environmental negotiations, representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector, as well as researchers and academics in the field of international environmental law.
