1 December 2011: The UN Environment Programme-World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), in collaboration with BirdLife International, the International Institute for Environment and Development and the University of Cambridge, has released a systematic review of the evidence of the effectiveness of ecosystem-based approaches to adaptation (EbA).

According to UNEP-WCMC, the review was undertaken to highlight the knowledge gaps in this area. The review integrates scientific literature and review studies, using a wide range of adaptation approaches utilizing different ecosystems.
