3 December 2009: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Risoe Centre on Energy, Climate and Sustainable Development has published a guidebook on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) titled “A Primer on CDM Programme of Activities.”
The guidebook was developed by the UNEP project “Capacity Development for the CDM” (CD4CDM), and aims to contribute to the understanding of the basic aspects of designing, developing and implementing greenhouse gas emission reductions under the concept of Programme of Activities (PoAs). It is meant to provide guidance on the concept and the different methodological, technical, legal and financial issues involved in the programmatic approach of the CDM. The guidebook will be launched at the Centre’s informal event during the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Copenhagen, Denmark. [The Primer]
