UNEP International Ecosystem Management Partnership Releases First Newsletter

According to the newsletter, the Government of China, UNEP, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, launched the UNEP-IEMP in November 2011.

The UNEP-IEMP is UNEP's first collaborative programme in the South promoting integration of ecosystem management and the green economy.

UNEP16 October 2012: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) International Ecosystem Management Partnership (IEMP) has released its inaugural newsletter. The newsletter discusses the aims and mandate of the UNEP-IEMP and introduces the UNEP-IEMP team.

According to the newsletter, the Government of China, UNEP, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, launched the UNEP-IEMP in November 2011. The UNEP-IEMP is UNEP’s first collaborative programme in the South promoting integration of ecosystem management and the green economy. UNEP-IEMP aims to provide science, policy and capacity support to developing countries to integrate ecosystem management approaches into their national policies and development plans, leading to the enhanced delivery of ecosystem services for human well-being.
