7 September 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) hosted the National Stakeholders Workshop on e-Waste Management in Kenya on 7 September 2010. Delegates at the workshop, which convened in Nairobi, included representatives from Kenya’s Environment Ministry, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Microsoft, the telecommunications industry and UNEP staff. The workshop adopted several recommendations including on: assessment actions; policy and legislative framework actions; policy implementation actions; and local, regional and international support actions.
