28 May 2010: The Forest Communicators Network of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)/UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) met in Gothenburg, Sweden from 26-28 May 2010 for their annual session. Thirty experts from 13 countries and six international organizations participated in discussions on the International Year of Forest 2011, best practices in the field of communication, and the scope and concept of a future European forest communication strategy. Participants heard presentations on activities to promote communication from various European countries, and heard preparations for the Sixth Forests Europe Ministerial Conference, to be held in 2011.
