20 February 2009: Ján Kubiš, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), presented the Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish versions of the coloring book “Daddy you can save the planet!”
The publication was first released in English and French in 2007, and aims to raise children’s and their parents’ awareness about gestures that can limit the impact of our daily activities on the environment, such as recycling paper, switching off the light when leaving a room, using a bicycle instead of a car, etc. The launch is part of UNECE’s efforts to contribute to mitigating climate change and ensuring environmental sustainability. The coloring book is distributed worldwide via the UN Publications Sales and Marketing network.[UNECE Press Release]
