UNECE Experts Discuss Energy Efficiency Financing

The 17th Session of the Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency Investments for Climate Change Mitigation heard a report on the progress in the implementation of the project “Financing Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Investments for Climate Change Mitigation” (FEEI).

21 April 2011: The 17th Session of the Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency Investments for Climate Change Mitigation convened, under the aegis of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), from 19-20 April 2011, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The group of experts heard a report on the progress in the implementation of the project “Financing Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Investments for Climate Change Mitigation” (FEEI) and on the status of preparations for the launch of the energy efficiency and renewable energy investment fund.

The group of experts also discussed the report on the preparations for the third workshop on investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in the framework of the FEEI project and the second International Energy Efficiency Forum, including potential for cooperation in organizing the workshop with other projects of the Energy Efficiency 21 (EE21) Programme, other UNECE Divisions, other UN Regional Commissions, and other UN organizations.
