30 November 2010: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to re-confirm their commitment to cooperate in promoting regional economic integration and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the Eurasian region.

In the context of the Memorandum, the parties agree to cooperate, among others, on: development of transport and other infrastructure; promotion of energy efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection; and efficient management of hydropower resources. [UNECE Press Release][The MoU]
