UNDP Celebrity Video Explains Sustainable Development to Mainstream Audience

In a public service announcement from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), actor and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Antonio Banderas invites people to join the global conversation alongside Rio+20.

Banderas, French actor Lambert Wilson, Brazilian football star Marta Vieira da Silva and Italian actress Laura Morante explain that a sustainable development policy or investment must take into equal consideration its economic, social and environmental impacts.

UNDP6 June 2012: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) has released two public service announcements leading up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). In the first video, released on 22 May 2012, actor and UN Development Programme (UNDP) Goodwill Ambassador Antonio Banderas, invites people to join the global conversation around Rio+20. The second, released on 6 June, explains sustainable development to mainstream audiences.

The second video is part of the “Future We Want” campaign of the UNCSD. Banderas, French actor Lambert Wilson, Brazilian football star Marta Vieira da Silva and Italian actress Laura Morante explain that a sustainable development policy or investment must take into equal consideration its economic, social and environmental impacts.
