UNDP Board Approves Steps to Make Audit Reports Available

UN Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark highlighted that the decision by UNDP's Board to make available the Programme's audit reports would increase transparency, accountability and confidence among donors and stakeholders.

UNDP29 June 2012: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) Executive Board has approved the Programme’s plan to make its audit reports publicly available, with those conducted after 1 December 2012 to be accessible online. In addition, the audit executive summaries will be online beginning in July 2012. UNDP Administrator Helen Clark highlighted that the decision by UNDP’s Board would increase transparency, accountability and confidence among donors and stakeholders, in UNDP operations and oversight. Clark also noted that UNDP will continue to advocate for the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) – of which it is a founding member – by holding workshops with other multilateral organizations and partner governments on implementing its standards.
