UNDP Appoints Special Adviser on Post-2015 Agenda

According to the UN Development Programme (UNDP), Olav Kjørven has been appointed Special Adviser to the Administrator on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, within the Programme's Bureau for Development Policy (BDP).

In this role Kjørven will focus on leading UNDP's contributions to the post-2015 development agenda.

UNDPOctober 2013: According to the UN Development Programme (UNDP), Olav Kjørven has been appointed Special Adviser to the Administrator on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, within the Programme’s Bureau for Development Policy (BDP). In this role, Kjørven will focus on leading UNDP’s contributions to the post-2015 development agenda.

Kjørven previously served as Assistant Secretary-General and BDP Director, where he co-chaired the UN system’s efforts to prepare for a post-2015 development framework. He has also been senior adviser to the Secretary-General on the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative, head of UNDP’s Environment and Energy Group, Norway’s State Secretary for International Development, and political adviser to Norway’s Minister of International Development and Human Rights.
