The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Expert Meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 11-13 December 2006, gathered experts from around the world to discuss how to enable small commodity producers in developing countries to reach global markets.
The meeting gave rise to an increased understanding about the predicaments of small commodity producers, and steps were taken to strengthen multi-stakeholder partnerships that can deliver comprehensive solutions enabling small producers to create sustainable livelihoods.
