UN ‘Water for Life’ Best Practices Award Open for Nominations

The UN-Water Decade Programme on Advocacy and Communication (UNW-DPAC) and UN World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) have announced that nominations are being accepted for the ‘Water for Life' UN-Water Best Practices Award.

This 5th edition of the award coincides with the culmination of the ‘Water for Life' Decade (2005-2015).

un.water.for.lifeJuly 2014: The UN-Water Decade Programme on Advocacy and Communication (UNW-DPAC) and UN World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) have announced that nominations are being accepted for the ‘Water for Life’ UN-Water Best Practices Award. This fifth edition of the award coincides with the culmination of the ‘Water for Life’ Decade (2005-2015).

The award’s theme, ‘Water and Sustainable Development,’ corresponds to that of World Water Day (WWD) 2015. The winning projects, initiatives or programmes in the award’s two categories, ‘Best water management practices’ and ‘Best participatory, communication, awareness-raising and education practices,’ will be honored at the WWD ceremony at UN Headquarters in New York, US, on 22 March 2015.

The UN Office to Support the International Decade for Action ´Water for Life´ 2005-2015, hosted by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA), implements UNW-DPAC.
