UN Secretary-General Urges MDG Achievement on Solidarity Day

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for intensified efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) before the target date of 2015.

He also said the process to “lay the groundwork" for the post-2015 agenda aims to be participatory and incorporate views from around the world.

20 December 2012: On the occasion of International Human Solidarity Day, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called for intensified efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) before the target date of 2015.

Ban also noted that the process to “lay the groundwork” for the post-2015 agenda aims to be participatory and incorporate views from around the world.
