13 December 2012: The UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) has launched an online consultation with civil society to inform the next meeting of the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Panel (HLP) on the post-2015 development agenda, at the request of the HLP Secretariat. NGLS will present a synthesis report to the HLP in advance of its meeting in Monrovia, Liberia.

This consultation represents the official channel for civil society organizations to submit views on the post-2015 agenda, according to the announcement.

A list of questions for the consultation has been developed based on the 24 “framing questions” recently developed for the Panel’s work. The consultation questions address shape and content for a post-2015 framework, and partnership and accountability for development. The questions aim to avoid repetition of topics already covered in the previous civil society consultation, held ahead of the November 2012 HLP meeting in London, UK. The questions were posted on 13 December 2012.

Individuals may post responses online or via email. Submissions should be approximately 400 words per question, and must be submitted by 11 January 2013. The Monrovia meeting is expected to take place in early February 2013. [NGLS Information on Consultation] [Questions for Consultation] [HLP Consultation Website] [IISD RS Sources]
