A gathering of leaders from the corporate sector has convened at UN headquarters in New York, US.

The third Investor Summit on Climate Risk took place on 14 February 2008, bringing together almost 500 institutional investors and other leaders from the private sector to discuss climate change risks and opportunities. The event, which followed two earlier summits held in 2003 and 2005, resulted in pledges of US$ 10 billion of investments in green technologies over the next two years, according to reports.
