UN Global Compact Publishes December Bulletin
story highlights

The UN Global Compact's December 2012 Bulletin highlights: the "Water Action Hub;" a new consumer label for companies and products made using renewable energy; and a meeting addressing the post-2015 development agenda.

December 2012: The December 2012 issue of the UN Global Compact Bulletin highlights that since the launch of the CEO Water Mandate’s “Water Action Hub” in August 2012, more than 60 projects have been posted to the Hub. This reinforces the need for an international platform to showcase water stewardship initiatives, the Bulletin notes.

The Bulletin also reports that WindMade, which is supported by the Global Compact, WWF, GWEC and Vestas, has announced the development of a new consumer label for companies and products made using renewable energy. The new label was introduced during the Doha Climate Change Conference.

Finally, the December issue reports that more than 60 company, investor, academic and expert participants convened for a meeting of the Expert Group on Responsible Business and Investment in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, which discussed the post-2015 development agenda, among other topics.
