4 December 2009: The Outreach Division of the UN Department of Public Information (UN DPI) has released a booklet titled “Climate Benefits From Ozone Layer Protection: Low Hanging Fruits,” whichincludes a background section on ozone protection and climate change, and focuses on the issue of phasing down hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) use. It also provides a summary of the UN DPI non-governmental organization briefing on the ozone layer and climate change held on 18 June 2009, including presentations as well as the question and answer session held with ozone experts.
