The Nordic Center, which is The Energy and Resources Institute's (TERI) fourth center in Europe, will enhance cooperation on issues related to bio-economy, sustainable forestry, and renewable energy, as well as facilitate exchanges of students and professors between Finland and India.
7 December 2012: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has opened a Nordic Center at the University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu. The new institution will focus on topics related to sustainable forestry, bio-resource management, bio-economic innovation, and renewable energy in the boreal and arctic areas, as well as globally.
The Nordic Center, which was launched on 3 December 2012, is TERI’s fourth European center. Foreign student and professor exchange programmes have been identified as potential areas for additional collaboration between Finland and India. [TERI Press Release]
