Parties to the Biosafety Protocol are informed that the authentication and preparation of certified copies in all UN languages of the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress have been completed.
The Supplementary Protocol will open for signature on 7 March 2011.
21 February 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) informed Parties that certified copies of the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety are now available, and that the Supplementary Protocol will open for signature on 7 March 2011.
The authentication and preparation of certified copies in all UN languages has been completed by the UN Secretary-General, acting in his capacity as the depositary. Copies are available for download on the UN Treaty Section’s website, and a depositary notification has been issued by the UN under reference number C.N.68.2011.TREATIES-1.
