Stockholm Secretariat Releases Technical Assistance Newsletter

The December 2010-January 2011 newsletter includes articles on: taking stock of 2010 and planning for 2011; activities of the Stockholm Regional Centre in Spain; addressing the challenges posed by new POPs; the Safe Planet Campaign at the Cancun climate Summit; information exchange under the PCBs Elimination Network; a workshop on effective participation in the Persistent Organic Pollutant Review Committee and the Rotterdam Convention Chemical Review Committee; and a synergies workshop in San Salvador, El Salvador.

January 2011: The Stockholm Convention Secretariat has released the seventh edition of its technical assistance newsletter. The newsletter takes stock of technical assistance activities and notes the Secretariat’s plan to increase direct assistance to parties by implementing the brokering tool upon requests and by offering online training in 2011.
