18 June 2010: The Secretariat of the Stockholm Convention convened a regional Capacity-Building Workshop on New Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), the Process for Reviewing and Updating National Implementation Plans, and Reporting Requirements under the Stockholm Convention for Central and Eastern Europe, from 15-18 June 2010. The workshop, which met in Brno, Czech Republic, aimed to raise awareness of the recent amendments to the Stockholm Convention, and offered the opportunity for participants to become familiar with the enhanced version of the online electronic reporting system in preparation for the second round of party reporting.
