The Solving the E-Waste Problem (StEP) General Assembly convened in Bonn, Germany, from 13-15 May 2014.
The Assembly considered StEP's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in regard to re-organizing its work for more easily delivering recommendations towards sustainable solutions of the e-waste problem, and better meeting its members' needs.
23 May 2014: The Solving the E-Waste Problem (StEP) General Assembly convened in Bonn, Germany, from 13-15 May 2014. The Assembly considered StEP’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in regard to re-organizing its work for more easily delivering recommendations towards sustainable solutions of the e-waste problem, and better meeting its members’ needs.
Participants also discussed key areas of StEP’s work, including: transboundary movement, recycling challenges, capacity building through the e-waste academies, and awareness raising.
The discussions will be used to facilitate the development of StEP’s strategy, as well as its re-branding activities, through which StEP hopes to attract new members and supporters. [IISD RS Sources] [StEP Website]
