The aim of the initiative is to enable a global dialogue among existing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, corporations and civil society organizations from the North and South to build consensus around the need for a convention on CSR and accountability, and on the content and format that such a convention should have.

13 December 2011: Stakeholder Forum and Vitae Civilis have launched a “Dialogue on a Convention on Corporate Social Responsibility and Accountability.” The aim of this initiative is to secure commitment for a convention on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and accountability at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD or Rio+20). The Dialogue seeks to enable a global dialogue among existing CSR initiatives, corporations and civil society organizations from the North and South to build consensus around the need for a convention, and on the content and format that such a convention should have.
