Stakeholder Forum's latest blog entry addresses proposals related to the UNCSD theme of institutional framework for sustainable development.
It also has produced a podcast on the other theme of the Conference, green economy, featuring a discussion with several NGO experts.
20 April 2011: Stakeholder Forum has announced a new blog covering the main themes of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), including the institutional framework for sustainable development. It has also produced a podcast on the other theme of the Conference, green economy.
On the institutional framework for sustainable development, Stakeholder Forum has commissioned papers on related topics. A paper by Jan Gustav Strandenaes outlines proposals on sustainable development governance, including the upgrading of the UN Commission for Sustainable Development (CSD) to a Council of the UN General Assembly, and re-establishing the inter-agency committee on sustainable development.
On green economy, Stakeholder Forum launched a podcast on the topic, “Green Economy 101.” Participants in the discussion included Tim Jenkins, New Economics Foundation, Victor Anderson, WWF, and Phillip Pearson, Trade Union Council.
