SPREP Organizes Sub-regional Training on Socioeconomic Assessment

The training was organized within the framework of the regional project “Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change.”

9 November 2010: The South Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), in the framework of the regional project “Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change” (PACC), held a sub-regional training on socioeconomic assessment in Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia, from 21-23 September 2010.

The training was the first of a series of three sub-regional trainings to cover the three thematic areas of coastal management, food production and food security, and water resource management.
It was attended by two representatives from Samoa and Cook Islands, and ten represented the Federated States of Micronesia. The next training is scheduled from 15-19 November 2010 in Majuro, Marshall Islands. [SPREP Press Release]
