31 January 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) has released Issue 6 of the e-Talanoa Information and Communication Technology (ICT) newsletter. The newsletter is produced as part of the Pacific ICT Outreach Programme, coordinated by the Economic Development Division of SPC.
The newsletter includes articles on: the Pacific Legislatures Hearing on HIV and ICT; joint SPC and UN Development Programme (UNDP) assistance to the Kiribati parliament; ITC training for parliamentarians from Samoa; SPC training for civil servants from Fiji on Web 2.0 tools and social media for information sharing; and the outcomes of PacINET2011, the annual meeting of the Pacific Islands chapter of the Internet Society, which was held in American Samoa.
