SPC Launches In-House Energy Efficiency Programme

SPC1 October 2012: As part of its activities under the UN International Year of Sustainable Energy for All, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) has launched a programme to improve its in-house energy efficiency. The “Home First Programme” is targeting energy reduction from efficiency gains in lighting and air conditioning.

The SPC partnership with Paradise Technologies, is expecting significant reductions in electricity consumption. Demand side management measures are being put in place at SPC to target key energy-consuming activities and appliances.
