The workshop was undertaken in collaboration with GIZ ((Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and funded by the Fiji Ministry of Primary Industry.
26 April 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) convened a workshop to prepare staff of Fiji’s Ministry of Primary Industry to conduct cost-benefit analyses of agricultural and forestry sector projects. The two sectors represent a significant proportion of Fiji’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), but scarcity of human and financial resources necessitates such analysis to avoid wasting public and donor funds, the SPC notes.
The workshop, held from 23-25 May 2012, in Suva, Fiji, was undertaken in collaboration with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and funded by the Fiji Ministry of Primary Industry.
