According to SPC, Business Process Re-engineering is a prerequisite for automation in the delivery of government services, and has been successfully implemented in many Commonwealth countries including Trinidad and Tobago.

2 February 2011: The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat, is convening the “Business Process Re-engineering: Leveraging Information and Communications Technology for Public Sector” workshop in Sydney, Australia, from 31 January-5 February.

According to SPC, Business Process Re-engineering is a prerequisite for automation in the delivery of government services, and has been successfully implemented in many Commonwealth countries including Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago and Malta. The workshop is targeting senior officers and executives from Pacific Commonwealth countries to assist them in translating public sector reform policies into concrete action plans, with a re-engineering component.
