SIWI Receives Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Award

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has presented its annual award to the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in recognition recognition of its contribution on water issues, at a ceremony held on 12 October 2012 at the Science Museum in London, UK.

12 October 2012: The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) has received the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s award for 2012, in recognition of its contribution on water issues.

Professor Malin Falkenmark of SIWI received the award on behalf of the organization at a ceremony held at the Science Museum in London, UK. Since 2008, the Foundation has presented annual awards to honor outstanding work in three key areas: climate change, biodiversity, and water access and the fight against desertification. Individuals previously awarded the prize include Jane Goodall, Sunita Narain, Edward O. Wilson and David Suzuki. SIWI is the first organization to receive the prize.
