SIWI Launches Five-Year Strategy

The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) has launched a strategy serving as the foundation for its work during the period 2013-2017.

The strategy organizes SIWI's work around five thematic areas: water governance; transboundary water management; climate change and water; the water-energy-food nexus; and water economics.

1 February 2013: The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) has launched a strategy serving as the foundation for its work during the period 2013-2017. The strategy organizes SIWI’s work around five thematic areas: water governance; transboundary water management; climate change and water; the water-energy-food nexus; and water economics.

The strategy defines SIWI’s niche, vision and mission as bridging policy and implementation to achieve a “water wise world” through the generation of knowledge, solutions and tools. The strategy includes sections on: the world around us; a water wise world; SIWI and its strengths; SIWI’s strategic direction and objectives; SIWI’s thematic areas; and reaching our goals.
