2 September 2009: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon ended his trip to Norway with a boat trip to the polar ice of the Arctic Circle, where he stood on the ice and urged world leaders to take action against climate change.
Ban said that he was informed by scientists that global warming is altering the Arctic faster than any other area.
