November 2010: The Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) Secretariat has released a draft strategy on strengthening the engagement of the health sector in implementation of the SAICM. The SAICM Secretariat is inviting comments including on: the proposed objectives, activities and actions and means of implementation, and ascribed priorities; existing activities that could contribute to the implementation of the proposed activities and actions; and the availability of case studies that could assist policy makers at the third session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM-3) to assess the strategy and chart a way forward for the period 2012-2020. Comments should be submitted to the Secretariat by 17 January 2011. [SAICM website]
