This edition of the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Circular covers May-October 2011 and details Parties' new import responses to chemicals.
The Circular is issued every six months by the Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention, which addresses hazardous chemicals and pesticides.
January 2012: The Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade has released the December 2011 edition of the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Circular, through which Parties are provided with the information required to be circulated by the Secretariat, in line with articles 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13 and 14.
The PIC Circular is published every six months, in June and December. This 383-page edition contains information related to the period from 1 May 2011-31 October 2011, including details of Parties’ new import responses to chemicals. [Publication: PIC Circular XXXIV – December 2011]
