story highlights

"Rio+20: Pictures of the World" allows the general public to post photographs online.

It asks how life will be different under a new paradigm of sustainable lifestyles and which aspects of a sustainable lifestyle the individual would enjoy.

Responses, in the form of photographs and captions, can be uploaded directly to the webpage.

Rio+20September 2011: The Secretariat for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) has added a feature to the UNCSD website for demonstrating, through photographs, stakeholders’ visions of a sustainable lifestyle.

“Rio+20: Pictures of the World” allows the general public to post photographs to the webpage, as an opportunity to “create a new paradigm of sustainable lifestyles.” It asks how life will be different under this new paradigm and which aspects of a sustainable lifestyle the individual would enjoy, and invites responses in photograph form. Photographs can be uploaded directly to the website and captioned with a description, location and submitter’s name. [Rio+20: Pictures of the World]
