The Stockholm Convention Secretariat, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Mali, and the African Stockpile Programme, is convening a regional training workshop from 8-11 March, in Bamako, Mali.

The workshop targets national experts on the Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of PCBs and POPs wastes from Francophone African region. The objective of the workshop is to enhance the capacity of the participants on the concepts, principles and standards for the ESM of PCBs and POPs wastes, as presented in the Basel Convention technical guidelines.
