The February issue of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) newsletter on Southeast Asia and the Pacific contains news on renewable energy policy, project and policy developments, financing and upcoming events in the region.

15 February 2012: The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) has published the February issue of its Southeast Asia and the Pacific Newsletter, with news on renewable energy policy, project and policy developments, financing and upcoming events in the region.

The newsletter features articles on, inter alia: the outcomes of the UN Climate Change Conference under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which took place in Durban, South Africa, in December 2011; a REEEP quick start guide on “Linked Open Data (LOD) – The Essentials” to make renewable energy data freely available for use and re-use by anyone; the launch of the Clean Development Mechanism’s (CDM) policy website; improving the effectiveness of climate finance; and the growth in clean energy investment.

It also includes an interview with Director General of REEEP Martin Hiller on REEEP’s activities at the Durban Climate Change Conference, and a toolbox containing information on online clean energy resources. [Publication: REEEP Southeast Asia and Pacific Newsletter]
