February 2012: The International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE) has launched a redesigned website. The website is designed to support the global community of environmental compliance and enforcement practitioners through capacity building tools, research and country case examples.

The new website permits users to: submit comments on news articles; share their experiences of using resources; share upcoming events through the calendar; and contribute feature articles. The website also is integrated with social media sites LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, and allows users to use these media as interactive tools, to post questions and discuss common challenges. On the occasion of the launch, Durwood Zaelke, Director of the INECE Secretariat, highlighted that, “The interactive community features will enable informal collaboration at a global scale that has never before been available to our community.”

INECE Secretariat will host two webinars to guide users through key features of the new site.

INECE promotes compliance with and enforcement of environmental laws and regulations that promote the sustainable use of natural resources and the protection of ecosystem integrity at the global, regional, and national levels, in order to support the rule of law, good governance, and sustainable development.
