Ramsar, Ducks Unlimited Strengthen Cooperation

According to Ramsar, the objective of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) is to build momentum to increase global activity on the conservation of wetlands and wildlife habitats.

12 January 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention) and Ducks Unlimited have signed a renewed Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to reinforce their partnership. Ducks Unlimited is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization dedicated to wetlands and waterfowl conservation.

According to Ramsar, the MoC’s objective is to build momentum to “create a new surge in a global wave of activity towards the conservation of wetlands and wildlife habitats and in ecosystem services work, science and technology, public policy and public awareness and training.” [Ramsar Press Release] [Website of Ducks Unlimited]
