OSCE Trains Prosecutors from Kazakhstan in Water Management

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan, helped conduct an online seminar for prosecutors in Kazakhstan to train them in the prosecution of crimes related to accidents caused by water mismanagement and make them aware of broader regional water security issues.

OSCE3 May 2013: The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan, helped conduct an online seminar for prosecutors in Kazakhstan to train them in the prosecution of crimes related to accidents caused by water mismanagement and make them aware of broader regional water security issues.

The online seminar, organized with the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), provided training for 190 prosecutors and officials throughout Kazakhstan. The training was designed to increase transparency and promote good governance of water resources through the sharing of best legal practices and experiences by international and local specialists.
