23 August 2013: Sissy Larrea, Gender Equality Advisory the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), recently facilitated a meeting of the Gender Unit of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Nicaragua to draft a strategic plan for gender mainstreaming in the Ministry.

Participants at the meeting, which took place from 14-15 August 2013, said that having the draft Strategic Plan helped clarify and prioritize work to be done. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Women. [Press release]
