OECD_NEWSeptember 2014: The Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD) has released consensus documents on the biology of cassava and on the biology of eucalyptus to facilitate regulatory assessment of transgenic varieties of these species.

OECD consensus documents are a tool to identify elements of scientific information used in the environmental safety and risk assessment of transgenic organisms common to OECD member countries and some non-members associated with the biosafety work.

The release is intended to encourage information sharing, promote harmonized practices, and prevent duplication of effort among countries. [Publication: Consensus Document on the Biology of Cassava][Publication: Consensus Document on the Biology of Eucalyptus SPP]
