UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has named Norway's Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, as Co-Chair of his Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Advocacy Group.

mdg-advocacy-group15 November 2013: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has named Norway’s Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, as Co-Chair of his Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Advocacy Group.

The Advocacy Group is composed of eminent development professionals from the private sector, academia, philanthropy and civil society who work to foster a global partnership for development.

Solberg will work with the other Co-Chair, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, to leverage their resources, networks and specialized skills to engage with Member States, civil society organizations and businesses on MDG acceleration efforts leading up to 2015. [Press Briefing by UNSG Spokesperson]
