New UNGA President Calls Attention to UN Summit on Climate Change

Treki also called for an effective revitalization of the General Assembly “to regain its international legitimacy by ensuring that its voice is heard and respected and its resolutions implemented,” and for additional efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
